Really the only downside of this lens is its size and weight.

My Milky Way shots suck but.....

but I'm not giving up! Part of it is location and the moisture in the air. Part of it is our weather. Part of it is my lack of knowledge in CS6...how many of these can be overcome? This shot with an almost full Moon to my back....that doesn't help!

The Sigma 'Bigma' 50-500mm really can do it all.

Tamron 18-270mm

One of the cheapest super zooms for the crop sensor but it produces! AND it is so lightweight. I intended this lens for the Canon 70D when it arrives but did get to try it for one day on the Canon T2i before shipping that body off for the sensor mod.
