This picture was formed using 10 individual pictures. Each picture was framed vertically and the pan was from left to right. The camera was on a gimbal head atop a tripod and all shots were complete manual including focus.

I head to Round Bald in the Roan system to fight 1/2 moon to get the Milky Way; It's 1a.m. and the winds are howling, thus the blurr in the tent post a 10 second exposure.

this one after working with the photo in CS6 and adding brightness contrast layer mask and a pohto filter. I knew the colors were there, it was just finding them!

Agreed a ways to go with the Milky Way but I'm very satisfied with this one.
What's cool? Using the Canon MT 24EX flash with the Sigma 150mm Macro

Hand held possible because of the mp-e-65 + the mt-24ex
This shot was taken 1 hour and 20 minutes after sunset! So dark I had to use a headlamp to dial the camera. Canon 6D can see in the dark.
The Canon 6D is an ISO machine. This shot at ISO 12,8000 1 hour after sunset. Canon should have named this camera body the cat for its incredible ability to gather light without noise.

This is my first stack using the Canon 6d, the Canon mp65 macro, and Helicon software.
Learning how to use the Sigma 50-500mm
Using the Canon
These two from the Nex-7 and the 28 year old Konica-Minolta 200mm G.
This shot at the 500mm focal length of the Sigma--very pleased.
