Carried the Nex 6 on todays walk. This shot taken with the 16-50mm Power Zoom. Results straight out of the camera save cropping in CS6.
Using the 70-300 Tamron on the Sony Nex 6. This is a major crop, shot taken approx from 40 yards.
a77 with the 18-135mm f/ 3.5-5.6
or rather the pupil.
Def. in a Nex mood today. Using the 30mm macro.
Stove and Pots and the first opportunity to check for optical performance with the the Sony Nex 35mm F 1.8 This is a phenomenal lens and the weight is amazing
Here is Junaleaska post some processing with Topaz Delux...still not a pixel peeper but I'm satisfied.
Using my favorite camera, the Nex-5, the 18-55 OSS kit lens. It's not an especially sharp lens but EXIF will show 1/20 and f18 on a bright sunny day so you know a filter was used! In this case a 0.9 ND. The only PP was cropping in CS6.
The view turning onto Hoggum Holler road, yep that is the real name. We went up to do more winterizing--e.g. turning on the faucets to let them drip-anticipated temps below zero either Mon or Tues. night prevention.
Trying to remember this is a photo learning blog---where I learn the capabilities of the camera, then lenses, and me. This time using the Tamron a-mount 70-300; photo taken 20-22 feet away at 300mm.....a very sharp lens and at 1/3 the price of the Sony equivalent.
This is where I get my haircut....but was an excuse to use the Nex-5, the alpha lens mount adapter, and the Rokinon 8mm.....once could use PhotoShop to remove the curve, this is straight out of the camera distortion wise.
It's just not winter without a few nights like this :( Come on old man winter where are you ???
Reflecting on todays 60 degrees and thiking back not too long ago to real winter....not that I dont enjoy a 60 degree day-it's just the wrong time of year for it.
A shot taken 3 winters ago, way back in 2010, when winters had more bight to them.
Flipping through the proverbial snapshot book. In my case 7 folders of zipped files containing almost 7000 pics from years of travel.
All fans of the AT know PA as king of rock but the hard (no pun intended) reality is that every state the trail passes has its share...some just more than others.
On the way to Luxor a vist to Karnak. It's 1985, 102F in the shade...and we've survived a train derailment 10hours south of Cairo.
I think this is the same little guy, this time with the a77 and the Tamron 70-300, a jpg post extreme crop in Picasa.
Hunting for the tiny from far away......with a Nex 7, the LA-EA2 adaptor. The LA-EA2 allows alpha mount lens to be used on the Nex camera bodies.....now why is this cool. Well this Nex-7 with the Tamron 70-300 weighs far less than an alpha body combined with this lens and is a much smaller overal package. Speaking of the Tam 70-300, this was my first outing with it and I chose the Nex first. The alpha 77 will be next.
Not shade of green often seen in January.
Cold Ripshin where X marks the spot.
One of our hobbies, hiking loops in the Smokies.
Just a sidewalk, just a rail.....take the mundane and soar.
A familiar haunt, walking around this center several times a weak and always trying to see it in some fashion other than what it is.
Zoom in on Wolka's eyes or whiskers...you'll find a sharp lens behind it. Very satisfied with the Sony 18-135mm.
The Sony 18-135mm arrived today. I popped it onto the a77 and wallah. The reviews were positive about this lens and now I see why.
Dont think you can't stack jpg's! You can :)
