The birches

a77 with the 18-135mm f/ 3.5-5.6

Pastel Ripshin

I do love time lapse! This is the first using the Nex-5 which will not accept a wired and full featured intervalometer but luckily there exists the TempusNex which will trigger the shutter via IR and allow image capture for time lapse. The advantage to using the Nex system for intervalometer is weight; it is simply pounds lighter than a DSLR and you can also get by with a much lighter tripod. So while the Nex was grabbing pics I was out hiking finally after nursing hurt ribs for almost 2 weeks!

Virginia City NHR

Home

Reflecting on todays 60 degrees and thiking back not too long ago to real winter....not that I dont enjoy a 60 degree day-it's just the wrong time of year for it.

Winters at home as they should be.

A shot taken 3 winters ago, way back in 2010, when winters had more bight to them.

Oak Chair

On the way to the Great Gallery

Flipping through the proverbial snapshot book. In my case 7 folders of zipped files containing almost 7000 pics from years of travel.

On the AT in NY

All fans of the AT know PA as king of rock but the hard (no pun intended) reality is that every state the trail passes has its share...some just more than others.

Ribs somewhere in Idaho

Let's go back in time.

On the way to Luxor a vist to Karnak. It's 1985, 102F in the shade...and we've survived a train derailment 10hours south of Cairo.

Drop Box

I think this is the same little guy, this time with the a77 and the Tamron 70-300, a jpg post extreme crop in Picasa.

Drop Box

Hunting for the tiny from far away......with a Nex 7, the LA-EA2 adaptor. The LA-EA2 allows alpha mount lens to be used on the Nex camera bodies.....now why is this cool. Well this Nex-7 with the Tamron 70-300 weighs far less than an alpha body combined with this lens and is a much smaller overal package. Speaking of the Tam 70-300, this was my first outing with it and I chose the Nex first. The alpha 77 will be next.

Drop Box

Not shade of green often seen in January.
